I quit making excuses
I quit making excuses
Today I am happy to be who I am. It takes a lot for me to say that. Everybody fights through something in life. It may be an insecurity, or a tragedy, we all have something. It is easy to use that one thing as an excuse to why you are where you are. It is just as easy to use that one thing as a launch pad for becoming who you want to become.
When we look at ourselves, we typically ask for more of something. What we want is more from ourselves. The act of making excuses is almost an addiction. We are enslaved by our excuse-making until we realize that we are the reason we aren’t who we want to be. The ability to do more begins when the excuses end. Look at yourself and realize it is just as easy to be who you want to be as it is to not.
Ownership has become the single biggest factor in creating what I want out of my life. I challenge myself each day to own my current situation. It is I who put me in the position I am right now. Every single bad thing, every single good thing, they are all something that I have created for myself.
Identify where you want to be. Then, find out how far along you are on that journey. Reflect on what you can do to get there, then do it. Your brain will naturally try to convince you that you can’t, but once you overcome that, all is possible.
Identify goal, overcome excuses, become who you want to be. It is simple.
