Mind power

“You can do anything you put your mind to.”

Growing up I was blessed enough to be told this phrase plenty of times. This was a phrase that both my parents repeated to me day after day. I always said “yes I know, I know” just trying to wave them off.

But in reality, I didn’t know.

They knew it but I sure as hell didn’t.

The reason: I never believed in myself.

I never had the belief in myself to fully dedicate my mind to it. The limiting beliefs I had of myself always brought me back to square one. My mind was never strong enough to overcome the barriers that I had created for myself.

After time, I worked and worked to develop more confidence. As I grew it just simply came. Then, I realized that the phrase I had heard all my life had finally made a difference. Hearing it all these times had finally caught up. I started gaining traction and working on myself and every time I would want to give up I would hear this phrase echoing through my mind.

It took over two decades for this phrase to make its way into my mind. I had to get my mind in the position to accept it. But I think my mind figured it out unknowingly through my subconscious.

It is honestly crazy how your subconscious does the work when you don’t even try. I didn’t try to recall this phrase for so long but it was working in my subconscious. Being told that for all those years created a feeling in me. A feeling that no matter what, I had control. If I could simply take control over my thoughts, I could control my future.

YOU ARE A PRODUCT OF YOUR CONSUMPTION.

If you fill your mind with positivity, it will breed positivity.

You reap what you sow.

Luckily my mind was filled with motivation for me at the start. But I then continued filling it with more.

Here lies the importance of controlling as much as you can, because if you don’t, it will control you. Control the people you spend the most time around. Control what you put in your mind. Control what you put in your body. Control how you perceive life.

If you aren’t aware of what goes into your mind, your subconscious will take over. In my case, this was good. But in some cases, the subconscious mind is a dangerous beast that should not be let out until it is trained.

Your mind is the most powerful tool you possess.

Use it to your advantage.

Thank you for reading.

I appreciate every single person who happens to stumble across these deep sentiments buried in my subconscious.

I hope if you’re here you can relate.

My goal is to help others better themselves while doing the same.
