Small decisions, big outcomes

“Success is the product of daily habits, not once-in-a-lifetime transformations.”

I used to go about life waiting for the day where I would become an overnight success. I saw so many examples of people’s rise to fame being nearly instantaneous. One day they were working the same old job then BOOM all of the sudden they are rich and have all of these fans that love everything they do.

In my mind, that was how things worked. But finally I realized the truth about overnight successes: there is no such thing.

Overnight success is a result of compounding small, productive decisions for years. For those that simply view the drastic change, it seems to happen overnight. But for the one who experiences the transformation, they know how much work went in behind the scenes.

Every single success you have seen in any industry is a result of hours of work.

To truly become a master at what you do, you must put in the time. The more time you put into something, the more astonishing the outcome of your work is.

Every time you make a decision, envision yourself casting a vote for the person you will become. If the small decisions you make are for the person you want to become, eventually that person will win. If your decisions are votes for a worse version of yourself, then that person will win.

No matter what the decision is, it is influencing what you will become.

Once you learn to make every decision count, you will begin to grow exponentially.

Everything that you do in life connects. Do the things that the best version of you would do. Make the changes now so you don’t have to backtrack later.

Small decisions create big outcomes.

Control the small decisions and you will have control over the big outcomes.

I appreciate every single person who happens to stumble across these deep sentiments buried in my subconscious.

I hope if you’re here you can relate.

My goal is to help others better themselves while doing the same.
