All you can do is wait

“Behind every fear, there is a miracle waiting.”

Not being able to change something in the moment sucks.

People are so impatient. Everyone wants instantaneous results. They want to have their hand in every decision.

For a while, I felt like I could influence anything that happened in my life. I felt like if I wanted to be successful tomorrow, my input today would determine that. I thought that I could jump back into doing exactly what I was doing before I got sick the day after I got medicine.

I was so wrong.

Sometimes the best thing you can do is wait.

THE WORLD IS NOT ON YOUR TIME.

I have developed more and more patience over time but I still find myself jumping the gun on things because I want them to happen right now. I leap at the first glimpse of something that I might want, even though a person’s feelings change so much over time.

So many people make rash decisions based on what they are feeling at the moment because they are incapable of waiting. They want that feeling RIGHT NOW and will not wait another instant.

You can only do so much in the moment. I used to get so stressed out thinking I wasn’t doing enough. I would wonder time and time again why my goals weren’t coming to fruition when I wanted to. The reason was that it was not the time for them to come true. What my dreams were 5 years ago versus what they are now is tremendously different. If I would have gotten what I wanted then, I would not be happy where I am now.

Life changes create goal changes.

There is a reason certain things didn’t happen when you wanted them to. You have to be patient. There is a plan in store for you. You can only do so much to influence it.

YOU HAVE TO MAKE THE MOST OF WHERE YOU’RE AT.

Trying to speed up and get to where you think you want to be will just make you ignore everything going on at the moment.

My entire existence used to be based on the future. I was so worried about achieving my goals that I didn’t even realize the best part about achieving them: seeing yourself grow up as you do.

We all take too much time worrying about what will happen when we should be worrying about what is happening.

Do what you can today, then wait for the rest to happen.

And while you’re waiting, enjoy life a little.
