I am wrong

 I am wrong

“Accepting your limitations is every bit as important as embracing your strengths.”

Being wrong sucks.

To become better, we must admit our flaws. Unless you truly face your weaknesses, you will never become stronger.

Ignorance and ego are constantly clouding our view of who you actually are. These feelings that your brain creates to protect itself from change will never allow you to grow as a person. When you are ignorant, you fail to see the truth about yourself. Ignorant people lack self-awareness and are too conceited to change. They think that their way is the only way and the best way and often fail to see the actual best way. A big ego gets in the way of the truth. A big ego prevents you from seeing other people as anything but less than yourself. A big ego caps your potential to learn.

The people who recognize their shortcomings the most, are often the wisest and most respected people.

Why?

Because they are open.

They are not argumentative. But rather agreeable. They have faced the fact that they cannot possibly be right about everything, so to learn more, they need to be open to differing opinions. Being wrong more keeps you open to learning more information. Admitting you’re wrong literally makes you smarter and wiser.

A man who cannot admit he is wrong will never become any more right. He is stuck in his current mind state and will never gain anything else. Every single thing he knows now, is what he will know forever.

Sometimes reality will slap you right in the face and tell you that you are wrong, but unless you accept it as that, the change still will not be made.

Lately, I have been wrong more. Wrong more than I ever have been in my life. At first, my ego did take a hit. I thought I knew so much, but in reality, I didn’t know anything. But now, I allow the wisdom to flow right to me. I have been able to form a new mentality on subjects. I have become more attractive, more social, more approachable. People are no longer intimidated when talking to me because I don’t tell them I am smarter than them. I show them what I know, but make it apparent that I am open to knowing more. I quite literally crave to know more.

This mindset was hard to develop, but I have never seen such fast growth in my life until I adopted it.

I encourage you to do the same.

Be wrong more. Admit your weaknesses. Learn more.
